BS EN 13495 specifies equipment and procedures for determining the load-bearing capability ("pull-off") of kits out of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) to tension and/or shear forces.

Why should you use BS EN 13495 – Thermal insulation products ?

Thermal insulation is used to ensure that there is no loss or gain of heat in a medium, and therefore must be very well chosen considering the properties, applications and costs. It is used for protection, prevention, comfort and economy. 

BS EN 13495 discusses the principle of the load-bearing capability ("pull off") of a kit which is determined by subjecting a test specimen to tensional force, applied evenly to its face through an elastic foam block and/or a lateral force, applied through the reinforcement into the basecoat. 

BS EN 13495 provides you with all components which are used for the preparation of the test specimens is assessed by the relevant test plans given in the relevant ETICS product standard.
