BS EN 10348 is a series of European standards on steel for the reinforcement of concrete that discusses the best procedures and specifications required for manufacturing high-quality galvanized reinforcing steel. BS EN 103482 is the second part of a series of documents on steel for the reinforcement of concrete. BS EN 103482 specifies requirements for hot-dip galvanized reinforcing steel in the form of products and subjected to further processing, e.g. bent bars, stirrups, products straightened from coils, products cut from bars, welded structures, and any other components fabricated for use in the reinforcement of concrete.

BS EN 103482 does not apply to hot-dip galvanized reinforcement for pre-stressing or components of these reinforcements.

Who is BS EN 103482 - Galvanized reinforcing steel for?

BS EN 103482 on galvanized reinforcing steel products is beneficial for

  • Manufacturer of galvanized reinforcing steel products

Why should you use BS EN 103482 - Galvanized reinforcing steel

Galvanized reinforcement steel is steel that is coated with a protective layer of zinc (Zn) metal as a barrier to the corrosive environment to which the rebars are exposed when embedded in concrete. BS EN 103482 provides guidance on galvanization, steel mechanical properties, sampling, testing, and evaluation of test results of the galvanization process.

As a user of BS EN 103482, you can be ensured of requirements for hot-dip galvanized reinforcing steel. With obedience and compliance to BS EN 103482, you can efficiently manufacture high-quality hot-dip galvanized reinforcing steel products. With BS EN 103482 you can be ensured that the products consistently meet and exceed quality assurance targets.
