BS 7119 is an International Standard that discusses the specifications for shock and vibration measurements. 

BS 7119 lays down rules for the presentation of important characteristics for electro-mechanical shock and vibration pick-ups (seismic pick-ups), the electrical outputs of which are known functions of the uniaxial, multiaxial, or angular accelerations, velocities, or displacements of objects, the motions of which are being measured. 

Throughout BS 7119, shock and vibration pick-ups are referred to simply as “pick-ups”.
