What is BS 7344 reeled LDPE film specification about?

LDPE films have dynamic applications for packaging across industries.

BS 7344 is a British Standard that specifies unprinted low density (k 927 kg/m3) polyethylene film in the form of sheet or layflat tubing, excluding coextrusions, in the thickness range 25 Èm to 300 Èm, available in widths up to 2 m (i.e. up to 4 m centre folded).

BS 7344 includes tolerances on the length, width, weight and thickness of the film, and a classification system covering certain basic physical characteristics.

Note: BS 7344 excludes special films.
