What is BS 7614 - Natural tracing paper about?

Tracing paper is paper made to have low opacity, allowing light to pass through. It was originally developed for architects and design engineers to create drawings that could be copied precisely using the diazo copy process.

BS 7614 specifies the minimum requirements for draughting media made from natural tracing paper. BS 7614 details qualities necessary for draughting and reproduction, and specifies appropriate test methods for the most commonly used grammages within the range 40 g/m2 to 160 g/m2 i.e., 62,5 g/m2, 72,5 g/m2, 92,5 g/m2 and 112,5 g/m2.
