It also provides the framework, precise terminology, and processes to allow the consistent application of technology (tools, techniques, and methods) to software maintenance.
This new edition is a result of the harmonization of BS ISO/IEC 14764:1999 with the IEEE Computer Society 1219 Standard for Software Maintenance.
BS ISO/IEC 14764:2006 supersedes BS ISO/IEC 14764:1999.
