1 Scope

This document specifies requirements for the measurement, documentation and presentation of mechanical propulsion energy consumption for small craft underway, irrespective of the propulsion system, type of energy or hull characteristics.

This document does not apply to wind, wind-assisted hybrid and wave propulsion systems.
