Why should you use BS EN 13330 - Hard body impact and shutter access prevention tests

BS EN 13330 provides you with the general specification of the hardbody impact testing procedure that will assist you in:

  • The resting position, where the steel ball-bearing is tangential to the test specimen at the predicted point of impact
  • The test position, where the cable c is stretched perpendicular to the curtain in the horizontal position, at the anticipated drop height z. The horizontal position is specified within the tolerance of 20 mm.
  • Prevention of access

Also, BS EN 13330 provides you with prevention of access to characterize the prevention of access for which prescriptions and classifications are given in EN 13659.

Overall, BS EN 13330 assists you with the location of impacts for a roller shutter. That will improve the quality and durability of shutters
