What is ISO 2286-2 – Determination of mass per unit area for rubber or plastic-coated fabrics about?
ISO 2286-2 is part two of the multi-series standard on rubber- or plastics-coated fabrics.
ISO 2286-2 specifies methods of determining the total mass per unit area, the mass per unit area of the coating and the mass per unit area of the substrate cloth of rubber- or plastics-coated fabric. Methods for removing coatings of specific compositions are described in Annex A.
Who is ISO 2286-2 - Determination of mass per unit area for rubber or plastic-coated fabrics for?
ISO 2286-2 on the determination of total mass per unit area, mass per unit area of coating and mass per unit area of the substrate of rubber or plastic-coated fabrics is useful for:
- Manufacturing unit of rubber or plastic-coated fabrics
- Quality assurance team
- Fabric testing facilities
Why should you use ISO 2286-2 - Determination of mass per unit area for rubber or plastic-coated fabrics?
The procedure specified for removing the coating from the substrate cloth is governed both by the nature of the coating and by the nature of the substrate, and indeed for some types of coating, there will be no known method of removal. ISO 2286-2 defines the basic quality of a coated fabric and determines its physical properties.
ISO 2286-2 covers procedures, calculation and expression results, test reports and determination of roll characteristics. ISO 2286-2 draws the attention of automotive industries due to its various advantages, such as high production speed, reduced tooling cost and improved quality.
