What is ISO 1261419 about?  

ISO 1261419 is part 19 of the multi-series standard on automatic valve which is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system component. 

ISO 1261419 specifies tests and requirements for the automatic valve, a liquefied natural gas fuel system component intended for use on the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 3833 

ISO 1261419 is applicable to vehicles using natural gas in accordance with ISO 154031 (mono-fuel, bi-fuel or dual-fuel applications).

ISO 1261419 is not applicable to the following 

  • Fuel containers 
  • Stationary gas engines 
  • Container mounting hardware 
  • Electronic fuel management 
  • Refuelling receptacles

ISO 1261419 specifies guidelines for the construction of automatic valve. These guidelines include the materials to be used and the method for assembly of those materials. The guidelines will enable you to manufacture durable fuel system components. 

ISO 1261419provides marking instructions on automatic valve. The markings help in identifying and tracing automatic valve. 

ISO 1261419 provides a test to check the insulation resistance. With the help of the test, you can check for a potential failure of the insulation between the two-pin coil assembly and the metallic part of the automatic valve casing.

BS ISO 1261419:2021 edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 1261419:2017), which has been technically revised.
