What is ISO 882010 about?

ISO 882010 is part ten of the multi-series standard that specifies fuse-links with tabs (blade-type) Type L (high current miniature) for use in road vehicles. ISO 882010 establishes, for this fuse-link type, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions.

ISO 882010 is applicable for fuse-links with a rated voltage of 32 V, a current rating of ≤60 A and a breaking capacity of 1 000 A intended for use in road vehicles.

ISO 882010 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 8820-1 and ISO 8820-2. The numbering of its clauses corresponds to that of ISO 8820-1 whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to ISO 882010.

Who is ISO 882010 for?

ISO 882010 on fuse-links with tabs Type L (high current miniature) is useful for:

  • Road vehicle manufacturers
  • Manufacturers of fuse-links
  • Designers of fuse-links
  • Automotive engineers

Why should you use ISO 882010?

ISO 882010 specifies the rated current for fuse-links with tabs type L. This will help you test the input/output characteristics measurements of the fuse-link.

ISO 882010 gives guidelines to measure the voltage drop.

ISO 882010 provides tests and requirements for breaking capacity, current steps, the strength of terminals and cable size.

ISO 882010 establishes dimensions for fuse-links with tabs type L.
