What is ISO 882011 about?

ISO 882011 is part 11 of the multi-series standard that specifies fuse-links with tabs (blade-type) Type M (medium-high current) for use in road vehicles. ISO 882011 establishes, for this fuse-link type, the rated current, test procedures, performance requirements and dimensions.

ISO 882011 is applicable for fuse-links with a rated voltage of 32 V and a current rating of ≤80 A and a breaking capacity of 1 000 A intended for use in road vehicles.

ISO 882011 is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 8820-1 and ISO 8820-2. The numbering of the clauses corresponds to that of ISO 8820-1 whose requirements are applicable, except where modified by requirements particular to ISO 882011.

Who is ISO 882011 for?

ISO 882011 on fuse-links with tabs (blade type) type M (medium-high current)  is useful for:

  • Road vehicle manufacturers
  • Manufacturers of fuse-links
  • Designers of fuse-links
  • Automotive engineers

Why should you use ISO 882011?

ISO 882011 specifies the rated current for fuse-links with tabs (blade type) type M (medium-high current). This will help you test the input/output characteristics measurements of the fuse-link.

ISO 882011 provides instructions for marking, labelling and colour coding that will help you identify and trace the fuse-link.

ISO 882011 provides tests and requirements for breaking capacity, current steps, the strength of terminals and cable size.

ISO 882011 establishes dimensions for fuse-links with tabs (blade type) type M (medium-high current).
