What is PD CEN/TR 13201-1 - street lighting selection guidelines about?

PD CEN/TR 13201-1 is a Technical Report that discusses road lighting and gives guidelines on the selection of the most appropriate class ensuring stable operations in different seasons and environments.

PD CEN/TR 13201-1 specifies the lighting classes set out in BS EN 132012 and gives guidelines on the selection of the most appropriate class for a given situation. To do this, PD CEN/TR 13201-1 includes a system to define appropriate lighting classes for different outdoor public areas.

PD CEN/TR 13201-1 introduces general parameters and their impact on lighting requirements, which can be adapted to specific situations based on unique characteristics such as geometry of the road, marking, visual environment, or difficulty of navigation.
