PD 6697 provides background information to parts one and two of BS EN 1996 Design of Masonry Structure. The document can be used in the UK only as a supporting document to the recommendations outlined in BS EN 1996 on: reinforced and unreinforced masonry structures; design considerations, selection of materials, and execution of masonry.
PD 6697 does not include details of components for seismic design.
