What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN 14058:2017 supersedes BS EN 14058:2004, which is withdrawn. BS EN 14058:2017 has made some technical changes compared to the previous edition BS EN 14058:2004. These include:
- Test for tear strength, bursting strength included and only walking manikin tests are allowed
- Minimum values on I cler have been adjusted from serial (0,170 m2 K/W) to parallel insulation (0,174 m2 K/W) calculation, model
- The serial insulation calculation method has been removed and only a parallel calculation model is allowed
- Tables in the Annexes were revised and adapted to the state of the art and additional tables added
