What is BS EN 17483-1 about?
BS EN 17483-1 is the first part of the private security services multi-series. The BS EN 17483 series focuses on guidelines necessary for the efficient functioning of private security services. BS EN 17483-1 includes the main overarching requirements for the provision of private security services for critical infrastructure.
BS EN 17483-1 specifies service requirements for quality in the organization, processes, personnel and management of a security service provider and/or its independent branches and establishments under commercial law and trade as a provider of security services. BS EN 17483-1 covers the critical infrastructure site to the extent necessary for the performance of the contractual duties:
