What is changed since the last update?
BS EN ISO 12402‑8:2020 supersedes ISO 12402‑8:2006. BS EN ISO 12402‑8:2020 has some technical changes. These include:
- Amendment of terms and definitions in clause 3, amendment of specifications and test methods
- Addition of multi ‑chamber buoyancy, addition of lifting loop
- Amendment of emergency position-indicating lights (Clause 5.10), amendment of Annex A “Classification of personal flotation devices”
- Addition of PFDs with PLDs, the marking with the number of the standard has been deleted
