ISO 14490 is an International Standard on optics and photonics that aims to deliver telescopic insights that offer optimal precision and performance. 

ISO 14490-3 is the third part of a multi-part series of documents which specifies test equipment and test procedures for determination of some characteristics of telescopic sights.  

ISO 14490-3 specifies equipment and procedures for the characteristics like parallax, axial parallax, eye relief range, line of sight shift due to zooming or due to focusing and reticle tracking of telescopic systems.
