What is PAS 1883:2025 about?
Since the publication of PAS 1883:2020 Operational Design Domain (ODD) Taxonomy for ADS – Specification, its content has informed the development of an international standard: BS ISO 34503:2023 Road Vehicles. Test scenarios for automated driving systems. Specification for operational design domain. As a result, we have updated PAS 1883 as a guidance document to support the implementation of BS ISO 34503 and further elaborate on the grammar, provide additional examples, and remove content superseded by the ISO.
PAS 1883:2025 is part of our Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) Standards programme, which supports the safe deployment of self-driving vehicles.
