1 Scope

This document establishes basic terms and definitions for the design, materials, construction, testing, operation, maintenance and abandonment of pipeline transportation systems in oil and gas industries.

This document is applicable to the design, construction, operation and maintenance of pipeline systems for transportation of oil and gas.

This document is not applicable to the process piping in the factory area of oil refining and chemical enterprises.
