What is BS EN 16301 - Sensitivity of natural stones to accidental staining about?  

BS EN 16301 is a European Standard that covers natural stone testing methods used for both internal and external surfaces of constructions. The main aim of BS EN 16301 is to offer manufacturers the best industry practices for demonstrating the effectiveness of natural stones for structures, not only for enhancing aesthetics but also for thermal insulation and protection against extreme weather conditions. 

BS EN 16301 specifies a method to assess the sensitivity of natural stones when exposed to 

accidental staining.  

BS EN 16301 also covers the possibility to assess the efficiency of a surface treatment.
