1 Scope

This document specifies the instruments and equipment, reagents and materials, preparation, measurement procedure, calculations and precision for determining the solubility of elemental sulfur using the saturated dissolution method.

This document covers the determination of sour gas samples collected from downhole, wellhead or separator using a sampler, or sour gas prepared in the laboratory, the sampling process of which is not involved.
