What is BS EN 60127-5‒ Quality assessment of miniature fuses about?
BS EN 60127-5 is the fifth part of an international multi-series standard that covers guidelines for good quality miniature fuses.
BS EN 60127-5 gives guidance to carry out tests to verify the quality of miniature fuse-links that are other than type tests, for the case where there is no complete agreement between the user and the manufacturer about which tests should apply.
BS EN 60127-5 provides guidelines and limits that are usually acceptable for quality control purposes by large-scale users and manufacturers of miniature fuse-links. It gives specifications like terms, definitions, lot-by-lot inspection as well as periodic inspection for miniature fuses.
Note 1: BS EN 60127-5 has validity for large-scale series with lot sizes of 10000 and more. It is also applicable for smaller lot sizes, if necessary.
Note 2: The frequency of periodic in relation to lot-by-lot inspections is not established in BS EN 60127-5.
