1 Scope
This European Standard describes a method for the determination of flexural properties
of textile glass reinforced plastics in the form of rectangular bars of standard or
non-standard dimensions, moulded directly or cut from sheets or other moulded shapes.
It only applies to simple, freely supported beams, loaded at mid-span (three point
loading test)1). The following properties may be determined using the method described:
1.1 The flexural stress and the deflection at break of materials that break before, or at, the conventional deflection.
