1   Scope

This standard describes methods of test for the following cellulose acetate flake properties:
  1. a) moisture content;
  2. b) ash content;
  3. c) acetic acid yield;
  4. d) bulk density;
  5. e) particle size distribution;
  6. f) free acidity;
  7. g) viscosity ratio of a 5 g/L solution at 25 °C;
  8. h) viscosity at a concentration of 60 g/L;
  9. i) viscosity at 25 % concentration at 25 °C;
  10. j) insoluble particles;
  11. k) original light absorption and change of light absorption after heating of plasticized cellulose acetate;
  12. l) the reduction in viscosity ratio on moulding.
