1 Scope and field of application
This International Standard specifies the mechanical properties of bolts, screws,
studs and nuts
-
— with nominal thread diameters, d, from M1,6 to M39 inclusive;
-
— with metric ISO thread in accordance with ISO 261;
-
— made of copper and copper alloys or aluminium and aluminium alloys.
It does not apply to bolts, screws, studs and nuts with special property requirements
such as

— corrosion resistance;
-
— electrical conductivity.
