What is BS 6101-2 - Accuracy of ball screws about?  

BS 6101-2 is the second part of the BS 6101 multi-series that discusses machine tool ball screws. 

BS 6101-2 is applicable to re-circulating ball screw assemblies having the shafts and nuts manufactured from hardened steel. 

BS 6101-2 specifies requirements for accuracy and describes geometrical tests for re-circulating ball screws for use in machine tool applications.  

Note: BS 6101-2 does not apply to test the running of the machine tool.
