What is ISO/IEC 28360-1 about?
ISO/IEC 28360-1 discusses methods to determine chemical emission rates of analytes from ICT & CE equipment during intended operation in an Emission Test Chamber (ETC). ISO/IEC 28360-1 also provides specific methods for equipment using consumables such as printers and equipment not using consumables such as monitors and PCs.
ISO/IEC 28360-1 is the first part of a multi-part series that specifies the methods to determine chemical emission rates of VOC and carbonyl compounds from electronic equipment using consumables.
ISO/IEC 28360-1 defines two methods the quasi-equilibrium model (QEM) and the constant emission model (CEM) to determine the pre-operating phase.
Note 1: Under ISO/IEC 28360-1 prediction of “real indoor” concentrators from the determined emission rates are not covered.

What’s changed since the last update?
BS ISO/IEC 28360-1:2021 supersedes BS ISO/IEC 28360-1:2018 which is withdrawn. BS ISO/IEC 28360-1:2021 has incorporated RAL-UZ options as methods with respect to BS ISO/IEC 28360-1:2018.
