BS EN IEC 63159 discusses household electric instantaneous water heaters. BS EN IEC 631591 is the first part of a multi-series of BS EN IEC 63159 and discusses general aspects of methods for measuring the performance.  

BS EN IEC 63159 applies to electric instantaneous water heaters for domestic hot water heating for household and similar applications, which show both of the following characteristics: - 

  • Fulfilling at least one load pattern  
  • Heating up to temperatures below the boiling temperature
