What is BS EN 60335-2-85 about?

- The use of the appliance by young children and young children
- User maintenance by children, including the necessary cleaning of the appliance
It is recognized that very vulnerable people may have needs beyond the level addressed in BS EN 60335-2-85
Note3: BS EN 60335-2-85 does not apply to
- Appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour, or gas)
- Electric irons (IEC 60335-2-3)
- Ironers (IEC 60335-2-44)
- Appliances connected to the water mains
