BS EN 60335-2-5 is a European standard that discusses safety requirements for dishwashers. Note 2: BS EN 60335-2-5 does not take into account children playing with appliances and their use by young children.
Note 3: BS EN 60335-2-5 does not apply to
- Commercial electric dishwashing machines (EN 60335‑2‑58),
- Appliances intended for industrial purposes,
- Appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour, or gas)
