BS EN 13880 is a multi-series of European standard on hot applied joint sealants. 

BS EN 138806 is the sixth part of the multi-series that is applicable to hot-applied joint sealants and methods for sample preparation. Adopting best industry guidance methods of sample preparation aid in ensuring durability of construction materials.

  • In Clause 5, the method has been opened to make it possible to use any heating equipment, providing a uniform heating of the sealant sample 
  • In Clause 6, the heating temperature and heating time has been more specific. The heating time has been changed from 6h to 4h
