BS EN 352‑6 is the sixth part of the hearing protectors multi-series. 

BS EN 352‑6 applies to earmuffs supplemented by a safety-related audio input. The audio signal can be transmitted by electrical input or other communication like Bluetooth.  

BS EN 3526 specifies requirements on construction, design, performance, marking, and user information related to the inclusion of the safety-related audio input. 

BS EN 352‑6 provides requirements of safety-related audio input performance of the earmuffs.

BS EN 352‑6:2020 supersedes EN 352-6:2002. BS EN 352‑6:2020 includes some technical changes concerning EN 352-6:2002. These include 

  • Clause 5 removed, reference to EN 13819-3:2019 7.5.1 and 7.6.1 added 
  • Annex A removed 
  • Annex B removed, reference to EN 13819-3:2019 7.5.1 and 7.6.1 added
