What is PD IEC/TR 62511‒ Interconnected power systems about?
PD IEC/TR 62511 is an international standard that covers general specifications of interconnected power systems.

Thus, for the purpose of this transmission guide, interconnected control areas and/or system operators can establish the voltage level, as required.
Note 2: The design guidelines in PD IEC/TR 62511 are intended only for those elements of the IPS (not the entire high voltage transmission system) that can adversely impact other connected systems (s) due to faults and disturbances within an area or a predefined subset of a large area. Note 3: PD IEC/TR 62511 also provides guidance to determine the elements of the IPS.
