What is it?
BS EN 1563:1997 is the European standard for spheroidal graphite cast iron. It outlines legal and regulatory requirements as well as industry grades for materials – providing ways to classify the quality and hardness of spheroidal cast irons. BS EN 1563:1997 specifications are based on the mechanical properties of machine tested materials. The standard does not include requirements for technical delivery of products or the spheroidal graphite cast iron classification for pipes, fittings and accessories.
