Why should you use ISO 16190 

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are naturally occurring substances in fossil fuels and may be formed during the incomplete combustion of organic materials. Oils contaminated with PAHs may be used as softeners or extenders in rubber and plastic. PAHs also may be formed by thermal decomposition of recycled materials during reprocessing and may be present as impurities in carbon black pigments and dyestuff.PAHs generally have a low degree of acute toxicity in humans. 

ISO 16190 determines the amounts of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in footwear and footwear components. By determining PAHS it makes the footwear better to use. A low level of PAHS is better for humans. 

Determining PAHS can help you to maintain the quality of the product.

BS EN ISO 16190:2021 supersedes ISO/TS 16190:2013. BS EN ISO 16190:2021includes some technical and editorial changes with respect to ISO/TS 16190:2013. These include:
