What’s changed since the last update?
PD CEN ISO/TR 16178:2021 supersedes ISO/TR 16178:2012. PD CEN ISO/TR 16178:2021 includes some technical changes with respect to ISO/TR 16178:2012. These include:
- Withdrawn substances: proteins in the latex, substances destroying the ozone layer, polychlorobiphenyls, polychloroprene, vinyl chloride
- Critical chemicals potentially present in footwear and footwear components including a new system of grading
- Added substances: benzene, bisphenol, NMP, DMAC, phenyl mercury, quinoline, VOC
- Biocides are grouped together (CMK, OIT, OPP, TCMTB)
- Bibliography, updated
