What is BS EN 16002- Flexible sheets for waterproofing about?
BS EN 16002 is a European standard that discusses flexible sheets for waterproofing. BS EN 16002 specifies a test method to determine the resistance to wind load of mechanically fastened flexible sheets for roof waterproofing.
BS EN 16002 assessment is limited to the performance of the mechanically fastened flexible sheets only.
Note-
BS EN 16002 does not include the determination of the performance of the mechanical fastener and/or the combination of the mechanical fastener and the substrate.

Why should you use BS EN 16002- Flexible sheets for waterproofing?
Flexible sheet waterproofing is a two-component function which is water-based waterproofing coating prepared from highly environmentally modified polymer emulsion, high-quality cement, and a variety of functional additives.
BS EN 16002 provides you with the performance of the mechanical fastening system (screw and washer) with or without substrates. BS EN 16002 also provides the required specification for mechanical fastening systems.
All additional materials to construct a test specimen such as fasteners, insulation, substrate, are provided in the sampling requirements of the European harmonized technical specifications. This will help you carry out the test effectively.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN 16002:2018 supersedes BS EN 16002:2010, which is withdrawn. It includes the corrigendum EN 16002:2018/AC:2021 issued by CEN on 6 October 2021, which corrects the last two paragraphs of 8.4 and adds an item in Clause 12.
