BS EN ISO 14629 is an international standard on fine ceramics which covers the determination of flowability of ceramic powders.

BS EN ISO 14629 specifies a test method to determine the flowability of granulated or ungranulated ceramic powders by means of a specified funnel. The method is applicable only to powders that flow freely through the specified test orifice.

Who is BS EN ISO 14629 - Flowability of ceramic powders for?

BS EN ISO 14629 on the flowability of ceramic powders is useful for:

  • Fine ceramics manufacturers

Why should you use BS EN ISO 14629 - Flowability of ceramic powders

Powder flow, also known as flowability, is defined as the relative movement of bulk of particles among neighbouring particles or along the container wall surface. In other words, powder flowability refers to the ability of a powder to flow in the desired manner in a specific piece of equipment.

To measure the flowability of granulated or ungranulated ceramic powders BS EN ISO 14629 uses a specified funnel which makes it easier to carry out the process.

Flowability is one of the properties of ceramic powders by using BS EN ISO 14629 you will have more knowledge of how these work and can help you increase efficiency in work.
