Why should you use ISO 18527‑3?
Swimming goggles are supposed to keep water away from the eyes of the swimmer. They also protect the eyes from chlorine or salt water and provide clarity underwater. Swimming goggles need to be flexible and durable as they tend to face a lot of wear and tear while swimming. Any defects in swimming goggles can cause user discomfort and may hinder functionality. Poor quality parts may also reduce the longevity of the product.
ISO 18527‑3 sets out general requirements for the swimming goggles ensuring that your product is of standard quality. ISO 18527‑3 helps you to improve the lenses of swimming goggles by specifying the test methods for verifying transmittance of the lenses, scattering of light, and refraction power. ISO 18527‑3 guides you to manufacture better quality swimming goggles that are durable, by providing the minimum strength value and criteria for their failures.
