What is BS EN 15378-3 Energy performance of buildings about?

BS EN 15378 discusses the energy performance of buildings. BS EN 15378-3 is the third part of BS EN 15378 series and discusses the measured energy performance of Module M3-10, M8-10.

BS EN 15378-3 specifies methods to assess the delivered energy for space heating and domestic hot water energy performance of a building based on measurements during the operation and occupancy phase.

Note: BS EN 15378-3 does not cover the measurement of delivered energy for ventilation, cooling, air conditioning, and lighting systems.

Who is BS EN 15378-3 - Energy performance of buildings for?

BS EN 15378-3 on the energy performance of buildings (measured energy performance, Module M3-10, M8-10) is useful for:

  • Architects
  • Heater manufacturers
  • Civil engineers
  • Design engineers
  • Builders

Why should you use BS EN 15378-3 - Energy performance of buildings

BS EN 15378-3 is part of a series of standards aiming at international harmonization of the methodology for the assessment of the energy performance of buildings, called the “set of EPB standards. BS EN 15378-3 provides you with the test to assess the amount of delivered energy carriers for space heating and domestic hot water preparation based on measurement.

BS EN 15378-3 provides you with the test to assess the energy performance indicators of heating and domestic hot water systems and subsystems based on measurements. BS EN 15378-3 includes procedures to correct measured delivered energy according to climate and building use.

BS EN 15378-3 helps you to improve the energy performance of your space heating and domestic hot water system.
