What is BS EN IEC 62841-2-6 about?  

BS EN IEC 62841-2-6 is part two of the multi-series standard that lays out particular requirements for hand-held hammers. 

Tools covered by this BS EN IEC 62841-2-6 include percussion hammers and rotary hammers, including rotary hammers with the capability to rotate only with the percussion system disengaged (drill only mode). 

NOTE- 

  • BS EN IEC 62841-2-6 does not apply to drills and impact drills 
  • BS EN IEC 62841-2-6 does not apply to tools that are designed exclusively for driving fasteners, such as palm nailers
