What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN 62841-2-1:2018+A11:2019 supersedes EN 6074521:2010, which has been withdrawn. BS EN 62841-2-1:2018+A11:2019 includes some technical changes with respect to EN 6074521:2010. These include:
BS EN 62841-2-1:2018+A11:2019 is divided into four parts:
- Part 1: General requirements which are common to most hand-held electric motor operated tools (for the purpose of this standard referred to simply as tools) which could come within the scope of this standard
- Part 2, 3 or 4: Requirements for particular types of tools that either supplement or modify the requirements given in Part 1 to account for the particular hazards and characteristics of these specific tools
- This Part 2-1 is to be used in conjunction with EN 628411:2015
- This Part 2-1 supplement or modifies the corresponding clauses in EN 628411:2015, so as to convert it into the European Standard: Particular requirements for hand-held drills and impact drills
