BS EN 15573:2008 Earth-moving machinery. Design requirements for circulation on the road.
BS EN 15573 specifies the requirements for earth-moving machinery described in EN ISO 6165, intended to travel on the road.
BS EN 15573 specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events during on road travel of earth-moving machinery.
BS EN 15573 does not apply to:
• Earth-moving machinery with a width exceeding 3 metres
• Earth-moving machinery on legs e.g. walking excavators
• Earth-moving machines manufactured before the publication date of this Standard.
BS EN 15573 does not cover the hazards relevant to non-riding and remote control earth-moving machinery.
