What is BS EN 113-2 about?
BS EN 113-2 specifies a method of test for determining the natural durability of timber against t wood-destroying basidiomycetes cultured on a malt extract agar medium. Furthermore, this method used to test modified wood.
Note 1: The test method described in BS EN 113-2 applied to specific wood species, commercial supplies of sawn timber, wood-based materials, wood treated with preservatives, and modified wood, both thermally and chemically modified wood.
Note 2: BS EN 113-2 is not intended to determine the effectiveness of wood preservatives used to prevent decay.
Note 3: BS EN 113-2 is applicable to all timber species.
