This British Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for children’s mattresses intended for use in and supplied with moses baskets, perambulators, carrycots and similar domestic articles.

This British Standard is not applicable to mattresses and bumpers for use in or supplied with cots, cot beds, travel cots, cribs, cradles or similar products which are covered by BS EN 16890 and BS EN 16780.

This British Standard is not applicable to mattresses supplied with baby boxes, which are covered by BS 11130.
