BS EN 17333 series discusses characterization of one component foam BS EN 17333-1 is the first part of a series of documents  

specifies test methods for the evaluation of the foam yield characteristics for moisture curing, self-curing activatable, or water drying foams dispensed from single pressurized foam containers.

Why should you use BS EN 17333-1?  

One component foam is a self-adhesive, self-expanding, moisture-curing, gap filling material. Because of the increasing usage of one component foam in gap fills for doors, windows, roofs, and ceilings, it is now appropriate for construction projects. 

BS EN 17333-1 will help you in calculating the weight and volume of the cured foam by performing joint foamed density and foam yield test methods. Total foam yield test methods determine the moisture and self-cured foam that can be measured with the water displacement.  

The free foamed density method mentioned in BS EN 17333-1 is useful to dispense the foam in a bead on a horizontal surface and allows it to cure for 24 h. Determination of the total foam yield test method is appropriate in finding the foam yield by measuring the quantity of water displacement.
