What is BS EN 60730-2-5 about?
BS EN 60730-2-5applies to the inherent safety, to the declared operating values,
operating times and operating sequences where such are associated with burner safety
and to the testing of automatic electrical burner control systems used in, on, or in
association with, burners.
BS EN 60730-2-5 is applicable to:
- A complete burner control system
- A separate programming unit, electronic high-voltage ignition source, flame detector, high-temperature operation (HTO) detector
Note 1: BS EN 60730-2-5 does not take into account, the response value of an automatic action of control if such a response value is dependent upon the method of mounting the control in the equipment. Where a response value is of significant purpose for the protection of the user, or surroundings, the value defined in the appropriate equipment standard or as determined by the manufacturer applies.
Note 2: BS EN 60730-2-5 does not apply to thermoelectric flame supervision controls; thermoelectric flame supervision controls
Who is BS EN 60730-2-5 for?
BS EN 60730-2-5 on the requirement for automatic electrical burner control applies to:
- Electrical burner manufactures
- shops, household, offices, hospitals, farms, and commercial and industrial users
Why should you use BS EN 60730-2-5?
Automatic electrical burner control systems main function is to monitor and control the main burners, utilize flame scanner to detect and discriminate between the main flames and igniters.
BS EN 60730-2-5 provides a safety solution for power generation facilities that enables the safe start-up, operation, and shut down of the multiple-burner furnace. This ensures reduces maintenance, improves up-time, and provides a safe environment.
What’s changed since the last update?
