BS EN 12572-2 is the second part of the BS EN 12572 multi-series on artificial climbing structures that specifies the safety requirements and calculation methods for bouldering walls, including the safety zone.  

BS EN 12572-2 is applicable when the bouldering is in normal use. BS EN 12572-2 provides a test that is designed to reproduce a shock perpendicular to the surface of the ACS when the ACS is used under normal conditions. 

Note: BS EN 12572-2 does not apply to ice climbing, dry tooling, playground equipment, and deep-water soloing.
