the properties and characteristics for manufacturing high-quality wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil.

BS EN 546-2  specifies the mechanical properties of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil.

The chemical composition limits of these materials are specified in EN 573-3.

The designations of aluminium and aluminium alloys and the temper designations used in BS EN 546-2 are specified in EN 573-3 and the temper designation is defined in EN 515.

Who is BS EN 546-2 - Wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil for?

BS EN 546-2 on wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil is relevant to:

  • Manufacturer of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil
  • Mechanical engineers

Why should you use BS EN 546-2 - Wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil?

Aluminium foil is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness of less than 0.2 mm; thinner gauges down to 6 micrometres are also commonly used.

BS EN 546-2 provide guidance on tensile testing, mechanical properties, rounding of test results.

BS EN 546-2 exemplifies the mechanical property that helps you achieve precision in terms of product functionality and specification. With obedience and compliance to BS EN 546-2, you can efficiently manufacture high-quality wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy foil
